Republicans and post-leftists are going to stop caring about the internal censorship and account deletion on the site in favor of "human identification". Nowadays you have to take a picture of your passport or driver's license to be able to watch 18+ (not porn, but violent or more adult oriented) videos on Youtube. Not unlikely.

Leftists will object in an ironic way, nothing will get done, and also the lack of anonymity will crush genuine researcher accounts.

Not really that concerning tbh. Revolutionaries should expect state/corporate censorship and shouldn't be dependent on corporate-owned communications platforms (use does not = dependence and in the end, censorship makes for good anti-state/anti-corporate propaganda)

this is correct, but my concern is the amount of data these services have on all of us, and how that is/will be used going forward. it's not just about moving away from these services in the future; it's considering what these services already know about us. and that's something we can't change.
