Not all recommendations will be implemented! I am just one person and this is a ton of code to manage. However, unlike an app like Twitter or Discord I do actually care about your happiness and want you to have a good time using the forums - so I will do my best to implement requests as they come in.

Great callout. At this time I'm not sure if the confirmation graphic is accessible or not so I'll look into it and if necessary come up with alternative solutions for screen readers and other users. Thanks for spotting that!

of course. when you have to factor in accessibility as a way of life it becomes natural to spot these things. i suppose that's.... unfortunate in a way because in a perfect world none of us would have to worry about that, but here we are.

A sort of tech or FAQ kind of... I'm not sure what you'd call it. But I found an online html to bbcode converter. It would be cool to post computer hints and stuff like that?

I think "community events" matter a lot for the longevity of a spot like this. Weekly themed threads, interviews, twitter thread compilations – stuff to look forward to.

A way to "like" a post without commenting would be cool. Accolades, kudos, thumbs-up, etc. But perhaps this is what you're trying to avoid.

Keeping the site ad-free (happy to donate) is important to me, personally.

I have just discovered I can't send PMs.

If this was not intentional my suggestion is to change that setting. If it is intentional my suggestion is to include the activity threshold or whatever qualifying criteria is used for enabling this and other various features for users, if applicable, in the rules post.

I think I've updated this, if you can check and confirm they're now working. I think it should be safe to allow newly registered users to send PMs (it was turned off by default until you had three posts). If it does end up being a problem I'll update and sticky in the rules.

I'm still not able to, but this is my third post so theoretically it should now be fixed for me personally lol.
